The Burson Audio HA160DS headphone amp is the answer to customers concerns with the high end HA160D amp. Those concerns sent Burson back to the drawing board and the result is the HA160DS headphone amp. Although nothing internally sound wise has change, the HA160DS features a smaller footprint, lowered price tag, and a removed pre amp . The Burson Audio HA160DS is designed for customers who primarily listen to headphones, hence the no pre amp in this design. This results is the same amplifier and DAC as the HA160D but almost $400 less. WIN!
